Our Story

The story of how Dog. Nature. Beer. began may surprise you. I was drunk with my dog in the mountains when I thought of the idea for this brand. 

Bet you didn't see that coming. 

I was living abroad in Germany at the time, and my steadfast husky, Trooper, was along for the adventure. After a day of traversing up and down trails in the Alps, we settled in for an afternoon at a traditional Bavarian Brewery next to an alpine lake. 

After a stein (okay, several steins) of German lager, I was lying on a grassy hillside overlooking a crystal clear lake, with my backpack as a pillow, and Trooper silently resting his head on my leg as he slept. 

As I lay on the side of a hill in the Alps with one hand holding a pint of beer and the other resting on my sleeping Husky, it felt like I had everything I ever needed. 

Dog. Nature. Beer. 

This brand is for the dog-loving adventurers—weekend wanderers who take every step into a new patch of wilderness alongside their most loyal, four-legged companions. It's for those who know that a beer tastes best when drunk by the campfire, with a happy dog along for the journey.
